Where did three weeks go so fast? Here I am.

Sometimes Time runs away at the drop of a hat. Doesn't even let you know that IT is going. You think you have all the Time in the world, but you find out that you don't. IT is suddenly gone. You have to roll up your sleeves and get to work on whatever project you had put aside, to get it done now while you still have some more TIME.

All that snow that Alaska has had is so incredible to think about. It is sad to think of those poor people who are snowed in so severely. They cannot even go to the grocery store. I don't mind a normal snowstorm that may keep you from attending that meeting you wanted to attend, but when it keeps you from going to your best friend's wedding, or your own, that's another story. Mother Nature is indeed the boss. We must acquiesce.

Now this week there is Seattle where all the snow is falling and clogging up the streets and highways, causing accidents and some deaths. When winter comes, it would be wise if we would stock up on non-perishables and canned goods to keep us going until storms have passed. Things like large bags of flour to make bread in our old wood stoves in case the flow of electricity is stopped by the storms; and canned goods and a good can opener. One has to 'rough it' when bad storms come.

My friend Mary Frances finally got that BOOT off her ankle because the little bone that she fractured when 'turning' her ankle has healed. Now she has to work on her balance, because the BOOT made that leg somewhat higher than the other! Heal quickly, Mary Frances!

I'll see you at the Corner Post...
